Description
Antique, Chinese hard stone seal or chop made during the mid to late 1800s. This piece was hand carved out of hard stone. The decorative top is in the figural form of a dragon or foo dog. It's etched with a Chinese character signature surrounded by landscape etchings. The underside has a carved seal, most likely for ink but it could also be used for a wax seal.
This piece is in excellent overall condition for its age. There are some slight scratches, but this is hardly noticeable.
It measures 3.25" long by .75" in diameter
