Add a genuine piece of Caucasian textile history to your home with this antique hand-knotted Kuba–Shirvan runner, woven in the Caucasus (present-day Azerbaijan) around 1890–1910.
This exceptional tribal runner features a rich indigo-blue field, bold geometric medallions, ivory latch-hook motifs, and traditional Caucasian borders. Hand-knotted entirely from wool on a wool foundation, it displays the natural abrash (subtle colour variations) and character expected of an authentic late-19th-century village weaving.
Unlike modern reproductions, this rug was created using traditional weaving techniques and natural-looking dyes, making it a distinctive decorative and collectible piece suitable for hallways, galleries, entryways, libraries, and period or contemporary interiors.
