Scarce 1996 first English edition of An Apartment Called Freedom by Saudi author Ghazi A. Algosaibi, published by Kegan Paul International.

Originally published in Arabic in 1994 as Shaqat Al Horia, this English edition was translated by Leslie McLoughlin and first published in 1996.

This copy is particularly collectible because it appears to be signed by Ghazi Algosaibi on the title page and additionally signed and personally inscribed on the half-title page, dated 10.7.96, the same year the English edition was published.

Presented in its original illustrated dust jacket over blue cloth boards with gilt spine lettering.

Condition

Very good pre-owned vintage condition. Hardcover boards remain clean and attractive with strong gilt spine lettering. Pages appear clean and securely bound. Original dust jacket shows light age-related edge, corner and surface wear.

There is a handwritten inscription and signature on the half-title and an additional apparent author signature across the title page. Please review all photographs closely, as they form part of the condition description.
