The R.E.M. – Document (No. 5) vinyl LP, released in 1987 on I.R.S. Records (catalog number IRS-42059), is the fifth studio album by the band and marks a pivotal point in their career. It was their last album with I.R.S. before moving to Warner Bros. and features a blend of alternative rock, post-punk, and political themes. The album includes one of their most iconic hits, “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)” as well as “The One I Love,” which became their first major hit on the U.S. charts.
