Description

The 1910 edition of Chantecler by Edmond Rostand, published by Pierre Lafitte, is notable for its beautiful illustrations by two prominent artists: Manuel Orazi and Georges Scott.

Chantecler is a verse play, an allegory featuring animals (notably a rooster) and is set on a farm, touching upon themes like pride, art, and the nature of reality. This blend of styles between Orazi and Scott must have added a rich visual texture to Rostand's text.

In store pickup available during opening hours. You will be notified as soon as it's ready. We'll hold onto your purchase for 48 hours free of charge, but if you need a little extra time, we offer secure storage for $20 per day. 

We deliver via courrier anywhere in Canada. For larger deliveries, we work with a small company that will deliver anywhere within 30km of EcoDepot for a discounted price (courrier delivery for large items can be very expensive).
