Description

Vintage piece of Canadian Sial pottery. Sial is known for producing hand-crafted stoneware pottery in the mid-20th century, often featuring earthy tones and unique glaze techniques. Their items, including casserole dishes, were highly regarded for both their aesthetic and functional qualities.

Sial pottery was often designed by well-known artists such as Carl P. A. D. McIntosh and others from the studio. A small stoneware casserole dish would likely feature a distinctive, handmade look, with a matte or glossy glaze, sometimes in hues like browns, greens, or blues.
