Donate or sell your used items to Éco-Dépôt

Have furniture, décor, collectibles or household items you no longer need? Send us a few photos first. Most of what we accept comes in as donations, though we may purchase exceptional pieces or collections.

Donate, sell, or need a pickup?

Here's how Éco-Dépôt works at a glance.

Donate

Will you take my stuff?

Yes. Most everyday furniture and household items we accept come in as donations, as long as they meet our condition standards.
Sell

Will you pay me for it?

Usually not. But if it's exceptional (designer, antique, mid-century, collectibles or a valuable collection), tell us you're interested in selling when you submit. If we're interested, we'll discuss an offer.
Pickup

Will you pick it up?

Usually not. Most items are dropped off in store. For large quantities or particularly desirable collections, we may be able to arrange pickup.

How it works

Furniture donations start with a photo, not a trip across town. Here's the whole process, start to finish.

1

Snap a few photos

Show us what you have. A few clear shots of your piece from different angles.

2

We take a look

Our team reviews your submission against our condition standards.

3

Get the green light

If it's a fit, we'll confirm you're good to bring it in.

4

Drop it off

Bring approved items to whichever of our three stores is easiest for you, during business hours. For large donations, we'll set a time first.

Submitting photos doesn't guarantee acceptance. Final approval always happens in person.

What makes a great donation

We take quality used furniture and household items that are ready to be enjoyed again. Here's the quick test.

Yes, please

  • Clean, complete and fully functional
  • No broken parts, missing pieces or major repairs
  • Ready to be given a second life today
  • Something you'd be happy to receive yourself

Not a fit

  • Broken, incomplete or needing major repair
  • Upholstery with stains, odours or heavy wear
  • Pet damage — cat scratches, hair, odours
  • Significant sun fading
  • Used mattresses & bed frames (see below)

A note on upholstered pieces. Sofas and chairs get a closer look — they need to be free of stains, odours, excessive wear, pet damage and significant sun fading. "Generally clean" isn't quite enough; upholstery sells on condition.

Mattresses & bed frames

We don't resell used mattresses or bed frames. If you need to dispose of one, we can take it off your hands — just ask when you submit.

$25 / piece

Drop-off & exceptional pickup

  • Bring approved items to any of our three stores during business hours.
  • Large donations need to be scheduled in advance, so reach out first and we'll be ready for you.
  • Saturdays and Sundays get busy, so we ask that large drop-offs happen on weekdays.
  • Pickup isn't part of our regular donation service.
